If you would like to take part in the relay but don’t have nine friends with which to form a team then you can join one of the teams that we’re putting together here at Kaya FM. Simply email your name and telephone number to mosibodi@kayafm.co.za and we’ll do the rest! It doesn’t matter if you’ve never run before, we have a team for you. You can also join us on one of our training sessions on Saturday mornings, where we’ll get you in shape to finish your 6,7 km with ease. We can’t wait to see you!

Advanced Training Plan
Beginners Training Plan

The aim of the first 4 weeks of this training program is to condition the ligaments and muscles to be able to progress to a more advanced running program.

  • All the training at this stage should be done at a moderate (easy) pace to prevent the risk of an injury.
  • Try to run/walk on soft surfaces- such as grass, dirt roads etc. as much as possible.

The aim is to run or walk a 5km race as fast as possible.
